AMALFI TOURS
It was the first of the four Maritime Republics, and it was during this period that it reached the height of its splendor. On the left side of the portico, you enter the Cloister of Paradise, entirely built in oriental style, with slender double arches and columns. Here you can enjoy not only a surreal sense of peace, but also a freshness that will restore you.
The walk in the beautiful city continues with the visit to Rione Vagliendola, where you can admire the Church of San Biagio, with its small Byzantine-style bell tower. From here you can reach Piazza Espírito Santo, where the Valle dei Mulini begins, home, since the Middle Ages, of the ancient paper factories, in fact, not far away, there is the Paper Museum, which still preserves the old machines used to make paper.
We continue the tour in Piazza Municipio, where the town hall is located, a 16th century palace, formerly a monastery. Inside, ancient coins from Amalfi and the traditional costumes worn during the Historic Regatta are on display.
