Pisa and Lucca

Exploring the Tuscan countryside is undoubtedly worth it. Pisa is considered one of the most fascinating cities, with facades crafted in polychrome marble, extremely elegant buildings along the river, museums filled with masterpieces and believe me, it has much more to offer than simply the famous Tower.

In summer, you can also enjoy Pisa’s beaches, some of which are dunes, such as Tirrenia and Calambrone beaches or Marina di Vecchiano.

After a delicious lunch savoring the delicious local cuisine, you can head to Lucca, a small city surrounded by large Renaissance walls now transformed into parks.

Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni

Being able to visit and experience the Renaissance period in Siena is one of the great charms of Tuscany, creating an atmosphere of the middle ages. In Siena, admiring the great Piazza del Campo, famous for its particularly shaped square and because of the Siena Palio, and visiting Piazza del Campo are essential.

Once in San Gimignano, it’s time to enjoy the most incredible and beautiful landscapes along the way, stopping to enjoy the view of the medieval towers before even arriving in the city. This city was called the Manhattan of the Middle Ages, as it already has more than 100 towers! And today it is also well known for its ice cream, the Dondoli ice cream shop has won the world ice cream championship several times!!!

Monteriggioni is a city known for being surrounded by fields of sunflowers and olive trees typical of Tuscany, it is located in the province of Siena, the city has remained intact with features such as shops and restaurants from medieval times. It also has beautiful buildings such as the Pieve de Santa Maria church and the walls, which are actually one of the few walls you can walk along in Tuscany!

Chianti

Chianti is a popular place and without a doubt unmissable! When we visit, we see vast hills filled with vineyards that alternate with olive groves, every curve made along the way is full of surprises of panoramic images of the wine region.

Chianti Classico is a wine region where Chianti Classico DOCG wine is produced, the most famous among the 8 sub-regions of Chianti in the center of the Tuscany region and includes part of the territory of the provinces of Siena and Florence. The historic communes of the Chianti region, which are: Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti, in addition to the entire territory of the municipality of Greve in Chianti and partially the territory of Barberino Val d’Elsa, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Poggibonsi, San Casciano in Val de Pesa and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

It is considered a region with a large range of wineries in Tuscany, seen as a poetic place, excellent wines that, combined with all the beauty and magic of the place, bring us a unique sensation.

With our Complete Chianti tour, wine tasting is mandatory for anyone who wants to have the full experience, the only difficult part will be choosing which one, but we can help you with that. We offer tours that include a private visit inside the wineries with the owner as guide.

Val D’Orcia

In Val D’Orcia, cypress trees snake along winding roads to grand mansions perched above rolling hills. The most beautiful of Tuscany’s valleys, it is full of photographic opportunities and pretty villages that have made this beautiful part of Italy a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Brunello is a single-grape Sangiovese wine, harvested only from vineyards grown in the hills of Montalcino – a small village that is a delight to wander around. Nearby Pienza is often considered the ‘ideal city of the Renaissance’. Another 15 kilometers after Pienza, Montepulciano is an interesting walled town with winding medieval streets atop a rocky cliff. The central square is surrounded by imposing facades and terraces overlooking miles of Tuscan countryside.

Montalcino, Momtepulciano e Pienza

For those who enjoy beautiful landscapes and good wine, you must reserve a day to take the Montalcino-Montepulciano-Pienza tour. This itinerary will be an incredible experience between art, history and tasting one of Italy’s most famous wines.

First we passed through Montalcino, tasted the Brunello wine, learned about the history and places like the fortress walls and saw the city from above. Then, we will go to Pienza to discover some of its beautiful attractions such as the Vitaletta Chapel, Palazzo Piccolini and of course, the history of the city and the famous pecorino cheese.

Finally, we will arrive in Montepulciano where we will visit two wineries, the city’s most famous palaces, the Cathedral rich in works of art and Piazza Grande. In addition to the history that you can breathe at every step, it is famous for its Vino Nobile.

If you really want to discover the region’s wineries, then my advice is to take the Montalcino+Montepulciano tour, because this way you can taste the 2 most famous wines of these cities, visit authentic wineries (no tourist wineries here, eh!) that produce Brunello from Montepulciano and Vino Nobile, as well as getting to know these cities.
