The “People’s Square”, located in an important commercial area of Rome, was once the gateway to the city during the Empire. A 24-meter Egyptian obelisk dedicated to Ramses II, in the center of the square, is one of the attractions. The churches of Santa Maria del Popolo, Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Santa Maria in Montesanto are close to Piazza del Popolo, attracting many faithful to the region.
Piazza Venezia
Much frequented by tourists, Piazza Venezia is located next to the Capitoline Museums on the Capitoline Hill. On site, a beautiful palace and the Nazionale Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, are much sought after for visitation.
