This square is mainly famous for its 135 steps and three different terraces, referring to the Holy Trinity (the Trinità). Spanish Square is a meeting point for Roman citizens, but its steps can also be a good resting place for tourists.  At its center is the Barcaccia Fountain, is a Baroque-style fountain, created by Pietro Bernini for Pope Urban III.
