Street shoes

The pavements found in Pompeii are exactly as they were in the city. If you look carefully, you will see the wear and tear on the stones caused by the weight of the carriages. In a few moments you will realize that there was even a crosswalk with higher stones for people to cross.

Garden of the Runaways and the Casts of the Bodies This is one of the most visited places in Pompeii, however it is the farthest from the entrance. Thirteen victims were found at the site distributed in this area, as they were trying to find the exit gate of the site. The excavations in the city continued at a very high speed and at a certain point some cavities were found where human bones could be seen.
