Italy Tour

Italy Tour. Tips for planning your trip. Italy is a wonderful nation, rich in monuments and historic cities, it is one of the most sought after destinations by couples in love! Many go on their honeymoon to Italy, but do they visit the best places?

Some cities in Italy are more suggestive and create a perfect atmosphere for romantics, such as Venice, with its canals, alleys and the famous gondola rides, or Sardinia with its Caribbean sea!

Well, here’s our 15-day romantic itinerary in Italy!

Rome

A big city and staying less than 3 days leaves a lot of good things out.

Italy Tour

Always consider 3 full days, not counting the day of arrival.

In Rome it’s very easy to get around with urban areas, so use and abuse them!

On the first day, the couple can pay a visit to the historic center of Rome, and spend the day walking through the ancient streets of the center.

The coolest sights to visit are the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum and the Pantheon.

For the more religious couples, visit the Vatican City and the Vatican Museums.

This tour deserves at least a full day to be well appreciated, as the Vatican Museum is huge and you can spend the entire afternoon there peacefully. If he’s lucky, he even manages to attend a mass with the Pope.

An interesting place to visit is the Ponte de Milvio, where thousands of couples lock a padlock on its edges. The ritual is simple: Buy a padlock and write the couple’s names on it. Go to the Milvio bridge and find a space to put your padlock. (This is the hardest part) Lock the padlock, declare your love to your love and throw the key in the river!

According to Roman tradition, your love will be with you forever!

Another suggestion is to admire the landscape from the dome of the church of San Pietro in via Niccolò Piccolomin. From this street, you have a very special view of the dome over the city. Another special place to see the basilica is the Buco dell’Aventino. It is a keyhole in the Priorato dei Cavalieri di Malta, in Piazza Cavalieri di Malta.

Another tip for those who have never been to Rome is: Don’t be annoyed by the Indian rose sellers in the restaurants. They are everywhere!

They usually stand in front of your desk looking at your face until you look at them. Usually they ask for 1 euro per flower. And since the theme of the trip is romanticism, why not buy your love flowers!

I think Rome is a very special city and one could spend many more days there. On my last trip to Rome, I stayed for 1 week and I couldn’t see everything I wanted. The city offers a lot of nightlife and many parks and museums. In short, Rome is a city for all tastes.

Florence

Italy TourA beautiful city, perhaps probably the most cultural city in Italy and the world!

It is about 230 km from Rome, so it is more convenient to travel by train or car.

Florence is a surprisingly wonderful little city, so two days should be enough to get to know it well!

The most interesting points are the Cupola del Brunelleschi, Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza del Duomo, Giotto’s Campanile and the entire historic center.

Most of the tourist attractions can be reached on foot or by bicycle. A very romantic walk can be strolling among the flowers of the Giardino Bardini or watching a classic at the Teatro della Pergola. Italian operas are among the best in the world!

Verona

Historic city of Romeo and Juliet.

And that’s why Verona deserves a visit for couples in love.

Italy Tour

Verona, in northern Italy, became world famous for having been the scene of the tragic love story between Romeo and Juliet, immortalized by William Shakespeare.

Although for many this novel is just a play, there are those who say that it has a basis of truth and would have taken place in the early years of the 14th century.

The story of the unfortunate couple draws thousands of people to Verona every year and, believe it or not, the city is worth a visit, not just for the romance that is in the air, but for all its great monuments from the Roman period. – which earned it the name of La Piccola Roma – and from the medieval period. It is a city that impresses!

A full day is enough to see the sights of Verona, which comprise the entire historic center.

At the house of Romeo and Juliet, it is possible to write the couple’s names on the wall of the house, so be careful that there are places dedicated to this, don’t go pixing around!

In addition, another must-visit for couples is to see a romantic show at Opera in Love (Via del Pontiere, 35).

Venice

Italy Tour

Certainly one of the most romantic cities in the world. Its canals and small alleys create a very suggestive atmosphere for couples in love. The city is small, for sure, you can see a lot in just two days. A tip for going to Venice by car is to park in the small neighboring towns and take the train to Venice.

You can only go there on foot or by boat. So, if you don’t like to walk a lot, I suggest taking a tourist boat, which takes you directly to the city’s points of interest.

Or take a leisurely stroll through the streets of Venice, where art is undoubtedly present on every corner.

St. Mark’s Basilica in Piazza San Marcos is the most visited point in the city, despite not being the most beautiful place I’ve seen in Venice. A few photos on the Grand Canal are a must, and the famous gondola ride is ideal for asking the cat to marry you or for more inspired statements.

Undeniably, close the night with a show at La Fenice Opera House or Teatro Goldoni. Attention, the most expensive coffee in Italy is sold in Venice, and can reach €5. By the way, always take a look at the menus at the entrance of the restaurant before entering!

Five Lands

They are a region on the coast of Liguria, in northern Italy.

The five cities are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

Roteiro Italia 15 dias

They are a region on the coast of Liguria, in northern Italy.

The five cities are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

This region was considered one of the most beautiful in the world and was among the best European destinations.

With breathtaking landscapes, 2 or 3 days to relax in this final phase of the trip.

Several beaches, historic cities and lots of nature are the strong points of this region.

An activity for the more active is to complete the trail between Monterosso and Vernazza.

I guarantee that the landscape is unique and breathtaking! The Old Borgo de Monterosso is also worth a visit and a candlelit dinner. The Cinco Terras National Park is very beautiful, and it takes a whole day to fully experience it.

Not recommended for sedentary people!

The Via dell’Amore trail is also on the top ten list, but until recently it was closed, and I don’t know if they’ve reopened.

Praia di Fegina a Monterosso offers one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life! I recommend! It is easily reached by car or train. If you travel by train, you have to go to Genova and from there take the regional buses to Cinco Terras. If time is short, consider a flight from Venice to Genoa.

Taking this trip during the warmer seasons, you can’t miss Sardinia. With spectacular Caribbean seas. The whole of Sardinia is worth a visit, and for that, a dedicated trip is good, so if you have at least 3 days, I recommend Madalena

For sure, take a day to visit the more distant beaches on a boat trip, especially on Santa Maria Island. At night, you can eat a delicious fish menu in the center and stroll through the city’s markets.

To reach Maddalena, it is necessary to go by plane or if you are traveling by car, you can take the ferry from Genova or Livorno. The ferry ride lasts all night, so you save one night at a hotel.

The ferry is huge and has everything there to have fun, eat and relax. Flights and boats arrive in Olbia, from where you can go by bus or car to Maddalena (about 1h30).
