Transfers to Rome from Fiumicino

A road map to fall in love with the Eternal City once and for all Yes, visiting Rome is like being in a large open-air museum, a fascinating blend of past and contemporary. Squares, outdoor fairs, buildings, houses and ruins … Every bit of the city carries a little history of the people who are one of the cradles of Western civilization.

Monuments such as the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are as famous as the Eternal City, but Rome always has one more surprise.

We have selected special places, also marked by history, for you to include in your next itinerary and fall in love with the Roman capital. Andiamo!

Villa Borghese
The combination of nature and art makes Villa Borghese one of the most beautiful parks in Europe. In its sublime gardens are sculptures and monuments of important artists from different eras. In addition to the exuberant beauty, the park has an art gallery with works by Tiziano, Rafael, Caravaggio, Botticelli. Also there are the Rome Zoo and Silvano Toti Globe Theater, a replica of London’s Shakespeare’s Globe Theater.

Sports enthusiasts can rent bicycles and rollerblades for sightseeing on the grounds. An amazing and perfect place for leisure and relaxation.

Fiori Field
The charming Campo de Fiori or Campos de Flores square is that special corner of Rome to feel, taste and fill your eyes. Its open-air fair, with varied local produce such as cheese, fruits, vegetables, sweets, spices and flowers, has already become one of the main attractions of the Eternal City.

The square was once a flower field and was once used for public executions. It has a statue of the philosopher Giordano Bruno, burned there in 1600, accused of heresy by the Catholic Church.

Today, the festive place is filled with tourists and Romans, who visit the fair during the day and bustle the region full of restaurants at night. The market is open from Monday to Saturday, around 7am to 1:30 pm.

Bocca della Verità
The Mouth of Truth is a large and picturesque marble mask that stands on the porch of the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, near Circus Maximus. Its origin is still a mystery, but there is a theory that the mask served as a decorative sewer cover in the past.

The myth about its truth-machine function began in the Middle Ages. To know if a person was telling the truth, he should put his hand inside his mouth … If he was lying, his mouth would devour his hand. Men used to take their wives to know about your allegiance. Bocca della Verità has gained worldwide fame with the movie Roman Vacations starring acclaimed actress Audrey Hepburn. After filming, Audrey lived in Rome in the 1960s and 1970s.

Marcello Theater
Probably the oldest in Rome, the Theater of Marcellus was completed in 13 BC by Emperor Augustus. The open-air theater hosted plays and musical performances, and even today, during the summer season, concerts bring the space to life.

Some similarities lead first-time tourists to confuse it with the Colosseum, though it is much smaller and half-circle in shape.
