Tiber Island is a small island in the Tiber River, about 300 meters long and 90 meters wide. Although small, it played an important role in the history of the city and is shrouded in legend. A Roman temple dedicated to Aesculapius was built on the site, later replaced by the church of San Bartolomeo. To get to the island, you can use the Ponte Fabricio or Ponte Cestius.
Museo di Roma is a museum that allows you to understand the transformation of the Roman city over time.
- Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere: believed to have been the first place of Christian worship in Rome. It is believed to have been completed in 340 AD by Saint Julius I and that its 22 granite columns originated from the Baths of Caracalla. Inside the Basilica, there are several mosaics created by Pietro Cavallini.
- Santa Maria Square is the square where the Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere is located, a meeting point in the region, with some shops and ice cream parlors around.
